GeForce RTX 4060 Launches on June 29th for $299
NVIDIA officially announced GeForce RTX 4060 (non-Ti) launch date: June 29th at 6am PT. The RTX 4060 is Nvidia’s upcoming mid-range GPU in the $300 price range, which will replace the RTX 3060 and compete with the likes of AMD’s new Radeon RX 7600 for a contending spot on the list of best graphics cards. Become.
The RTX 4060 will be one of Nvidia’s first truly affordable RTX 40 series graphics cards for mainstream buyers, with prices starting at $299. The GPU features 24 SMs, 3072 CUDA cores, 24MB of L2 cache, a 115W TGP, and 8GB of GDDR6 memory running over a 128-bit wide bus. According to early benchmarks by Nvidia, the RTX 4060 will be the perfect upgrade for RTX 2060 series owners with frame rates above the RTX 3060 Ti. According to Nvidia’s chart, the RTX 4060 will be 1.15x faster than the RTX 3060 Ti and 1.6x faster than the RTX 2060 Super. With DLSS 3 frame generation enabled, performance is significantly improved, up to 2.6x performance improvement compared to RTX 2060 Super.

However, we believe these numbers represent the maximum performance potential that Nvidia’s RTX 4060 can offer compared to previous generation GPUs. Our review of the RTX 4060 Ti found the card to give very different results in some games, matching his RTX 3060 Ti’s performance in some games. As a result, we expect the RTX 4060 to behave similarly, with performance varying significantly from title to title.
However, in general, we would expect the RTX 4060 to perform significantly lower than the RTX 4060 Ti, even though the memory subsystem is the same between the two GPUs. With the RTX 4060 having his CUDA cores reduced by 41%, a significant drop in performance compared to its big brother is inevitable.
Nevertheless, we hope the RTX 4060 doesn’t make the same mistakes as the RTX 4060 Ti and offers great gaming performance for $299. We’ll find out if this is true as soon as the RTX 4060 review comes closer to his June 29th deadline.
