GeForce RTX 4080 Emerges at U.S. Retailer Starting at $1,199

Retailers around the world have started listing custom Ada graphics card models from chip maker AIB partners as Nvidia’s GeForce RTX 4080 graphics cards hit the retail market on November 16th. Although not as fast as the GeForce RTX 4090, the GeForce RTX 4080 is still one of his best graphics cards.

Initially available in both 16GB and 12GB variants, after much criticism and user backlash, Nvidia decided to ‘discontinue’ the GeForce RTX 4080 12GB. Nvidia must have been under a lot of pressure to cancel the graphics card launch. However, there is no need to grieve the GeForce RTX 4080 12GB as the vendor will likely recycle it into his GeForce RTX 4070 tier SKU. Nvidia’s benchmarks showed the GeForce RTX 4080 12GB to be up to 30% slower than his 16GB variant, so sales will be tough. Additionally, rumor has it that Nvidia has reimbursed its partners for packaging and rebranding costs.
