Gemini down due to Amazon Web Services EBS outage; exchange working on restoring functions

Cryptocurrency exchange Gemini has seen its services go down, sparking speculation that it is the latest victim of the FTX crisis.
However, the exchange maintains its situation A page that says wire transfers are affected but your funds are safe.
“Gemini is investigating reports of potential service disruptions. All customer accounts and funds remain completely secure,” said Gemini.
Further investigation revealed that the outage was caused by an Amazon Web Services EBS outage on one of the primary databases.

The exchange is currently investigating the issue and has confirmed that it will provide more updates as they become available.
As a result of the outage, Twitter users have expressed fear, citing current market conditions and claiming that “nothing is safe at this time.”
