Intel Discontinues Arc A770 Limited Edition Graphics Card

In a rather unexpected move, Intel this week discontinued sales of its flagship discrete graphics product for desktops, the Arc A770 Limited Edition graphics card. Intel’s partner continues to offer Arc A770 add-in boards (AIBs) with 8 GB and 16 GB of his GDDR6 memory.

Intel is discontinuing sales of the Arc A770 Limited Edition graphics card quite abruptly. The company lists his June 20, 2023 as the final product order date and final product shipment date. This basically means that we are no longer manufacturing and shipping these boards. These products will no longer be available once remaining inventory is depleted in the channel. Apparently, the product was discontinued after less than a year on the market, so it was indeed a limited edition.

A quick check on Amazon and Newegg shows that Arc A770 LE boards are available for similar prices. $497.35 Available on Amazon, but no longer available on Newegg. On the other hand, Newegg has three CPU + A770 Graphics Card Bundle Includes Acer’s Predator BiFrost Arc A770 16 GB AIB.This board costs extra $339 in Newegg.

Intel’s proprietary Arc A750 Limited Edition and Arc A770 Limited Edition graphics cards were intended to give viewers the best possible experience on an all-new GPU family. Additionally, Intel has demonstrated that it wanted its Arc A700 series products to be able to compete in mainstream market segments without the use of fancy, bulky cooling systems. In fact, Intel’s own Arc A750 LE and Arc A770 LE boards look very modest, but they had everything the company’s ACM-G10 GPU had to offer in terms of performance and features.

Intel Arc A770 graphics cards are currently available from a number of AIB manufacturers, including: ASRockEisa, gigabyte, Gnir, MSIand shiningTherefore, Intel doesn’t have to provide proprietary cards to ensure that the best products exist on the market.

Interestingly, Intel’s Arc A750 Limited Edition graphics card is still for sale for now. Presumably Intel still has these boards in their inventory.
