Intel Discontinues Several 11th Gen Tiger Lake CPUs

Intel has issued a Product Change Notice (PCN) This will end various 11th Gen Tiger Lake mobile processors. Discontinued products include Core i3, Core i5, Core i7, Core i9 and several SKUs from the Xeon W lineup. Tiger Lake launched sometime between 2020 and 2021, so it won’t be long. However, now that Intel has added 12th Gen Alder Lake and 13th Gen Raptor Lake to its lineup, the 10nm processors are obsolete.

The chipmaker isn’t discontinuing the entire Tiger Lake-H lineup. So far, the affected products are mostly Tiger Lake-H (45W) chips. This is because demand has shifted to Intel’s newer processor offerings. The discontinued SKU range is from Core i5-11260H to Core i9-11950H. Intel has included his Xeon W-11855M on the list. The Xeon W-11855M hexa-core processor is his one of only two Xeon Tiger Lake parts. A Xeon W-11955M processor with 8 cores is safe so far. It looks like there is still demand for Tiger Lake chips with IPUs (image processing units). Intel has not discontinued models such as the Core i7-11390H and Core i5-11320H.
