New RTX 4090 Blower GPU Entices SFF, Workstation Users
Graphics card maker AFOX has launched the brand’s first custom GeForce RTX 40 series (Ada Lovelace) graphics card. There is no better way to achieve success than to develop a shiny new product based on his GeForce RTX 4090, which sits on top of the best graphics cards.
AFOX may not be your typical home brand for computer hardware, but the long-established manufacturer has been around for over 20 years. The company recently jumped on Nvidia’s Ada bandwagon by announcing his AFOX RTX 4090, a dual-slot GeForce RTX 4090 with a blower-type cooling solution. There are only a handful of his GeForce RTX 4090 graphics cards on the market with these characteristics, so consumers will probably be happy to have another option in the retail channel.
The AFOX RTX 4090 (AF4090-24GD6XH4) is 10.5 inches (266.5 mm) long, so it’s shorter than Nvidia’s Founders Edition 12 inches (304 mm). Nevertheless, what sets the AFOX RTX 4090 apart from other custom GeForce RTX 4090 models is its compact design that takes up only two PCI slots. This solution is suitable for small form factor (SFF) systems that allow as much hot air as possible to escape from the system and for workstations where users can pair multiple graphics cards with very close spacing between each other, reducing blower The design remains relevant.
Like many blower-type GeForce RTX 4090 models, AFOX RTX 4090 adheres to Nvidia’s reference specifications. This means the graphics will run at a base clock of 2230 MHz and a boost clock of 2520 MHz. Since this is a 450W graphics card, the power it needs comes from a single 16-pin power connector. The recommended minimum power supply capacity is still 850W.
As expected, AFOX has placed the 16-pin power connector on the back of the graphics card for better cable management in small cases and workstations where the graphics card is very close together. AFOX RTX 4090 provides one HDMI 2.21 port and three DisplayPort 1.4a outputs for display connectivity.
Nvidia seems to be more relaxed this time around as the vendor manufactures blower-type designs for their Ada-based graphics cards. The manufacturer had done something similar with his GeForce RTX 3090 of the previous generation. However, the GeForce RTX 3090 blower graphics card eventually disappeared from the market.
AFOX did not disclose pricing or availability of the AFOX RTX 4090 graphics card.
