Nvidia RTX 4090 Pushed to 4090 MHz

Extreme overclocker CENS pushed the Nvidia GeForce RTX 4090 graphics card to 4,090 MHz for “fun stuff”. Looking at the German overclocker’s screenshots, we can see that: Actually achieved 4,095MHzbut we appreciate their eye for symmetry and headings.

CENS’ liquid nitrogen overclocking feats certainly prove that timing is everything. Last week we covered the big deal as the Nvidia AD102 GPU just barely surpassed his 4,000 MHz milestone for the first time. CENS and Splave had been battling hard for the crown through June and early July, but last week Splave managed to grab the crown.

While a civil servant HWBot chart There are categories for maximum CPU speed, maximum memory speed, and even maximum motherboard speed, but no general GPU frequency chart as such. Recently, the RTX 4090 GPU overclocker ran a benchmark. GPUPi v3,3 32B, register the GPU frequency in the HWBot database. But for some reason, probably for stability, CENS didn’t even run GPUPi. As such, Splave holds that particular world record.

For the GeForce RTX 4090 pushed to 4090 MHz, all the photos CENS shows are screenshots of GPU-Z and photos of the LN2 cooling system. The GPU-Z info screen shows that 4,095 MHz was achieved while the GPU cooled to around minus 35 degrees Celsius. We don’t know exactly what hardware was used this time, but it could be the same setup that CENS used for his previous 4 GHz GPU clock milestone attempts. At the center of that setup was a Colorful GeForce RTX 4090 iGame LAB graphics card. The CENS wallpaper still has this graphics card logo. In his extreme RTX 4090 overclocking adventures, Splave seemed to prefer his Asus ROG Matrix GeForce RTX 4090.
