Nvidia’s RTX 4070 Reportedly Launching in April
Nvidia has informed its partners about its plans to launch its GeForce RTX 4070 graphics card in April. video cardsThe company has not set an exact date. All we know is that he hopes to bring a performance mainstream product based on the Ada Lovelace microarchitecture to market in April of this year.
Similar to the GeForce RTX 4070 Ti, the standard GeForce RTX 4070 is expected to be based on an AD104 graphics processor and come with 12GB of GDDR6X memory. Nvidia, on the other hand, is expected to slash his GPU, leaving him with 5888 of his CUDA cores running between 1920 MHz and 2475 MHz.
As a result, the RTX 4070 is reported to feature peak FP32 computing performance of up to 29 TFLOPS, up from 40 TFLOPS for the GeForce RTX 4070 Ti. Lower compute performance also means lower power consumption. With a total board power of 200W, the card does not require a very sophisticated and expensive cooling system. Either way, the GeForce RTX 4070 could hit the list of best graphics cards later this spring.
By reducing the number of active stream processors by around 2000 units compared to the GeForce RTX 4070 Ti, Nvidia guarantees near 100% yield for the regular GeForce RTX 4070. Assuming green companies order enough AD104s, they should be able to easily meet the demand for performance mainstream products.

Nvidia is aiming to hit stores with the vanilla GeForce RTX 4070 in April, though it’s unclear if that will be earlier or later in the month. Presumably, the company is currently assessing how much of his GeForce RTX 30 series the partner has left in stock and plans to set an exact launch date accordingly.
It’s also not yet known how much the company plans to price the GeForce RTX 4070. MSRP is clearly below $799, but how low that is is key to its appeal.
