OKX reportedly transferred $8.3 million in various crypto assets to Alameda Research over the past seven days. Arkham Intelligence Dashboard.
The transfer took place in multiple transactions on May 29, with the exchange transferring between $60,000 and $1.4 million worth of various cryptocurrencies to bankrupt cryptocurrency companies.
According to the dashboard, the digital assets involved in the transaction include: Wrapped Bitcoin (WBTC), Celsius (CEL), Shiba Inu (SHIB), MakerDAO (MKR), Chiliz (CHZ), DAI, Axie Infinity (AXS), Magic Internet Money (MIM) and 19 other companies.
The five highest valued transfers were from WBTC, DAI, LEO, MIM and SHIB with a cumulative value of $4.8 million.
On May 23, OKX sent Alameda a series of test transactions containing all of these assets. At the time, the value of the transactions was $10 each.
Meanwhile, the latest remittance continues OKX’s efforts to return FTX and Alameda’s frozen funds to the platform. The exchange announced in March that it had seized $157 million in crypto assets after FTX collapsed in November 2022.
Earlier this month, OKX transferred $60 million worth of USDT and Mask Network tokens to the wallet of a bankrupt cryptocurrency company.
Alameda is transferring funds to Coinbase
Blockchain analytics firm Arkham Intelligence has reported that Alameda is transferring its remaining funds to Coinbase’s custody.
In the past 24 hours, the bankrupt company has transferred $10 million worth of USDT from cold wallets to Coinbase Prime, and deposited $31.2 million to US-based exchanges in the past week.
