Platypus Finance provides recovery estimates after flash loan attack

According to a post from the project, Platypus Finance has launched a portal where users can check the amount of compensation they owe. February 28th.

The DeFi platform was first hit by attackers on February 16 when they used a flash loan on the Avalanche blockchain to exploit the project for $9 million.

According to the project, user claims should begin in March.

Platypus was able to directly recover $2.4 million in stolen funds in the days following the attack. The company previously plan to return 63% of stolen funds go to users.

The company also said that 78% of user funds could be recovered if outside efforts are successful. Specifically, the project plans to have Aave restore assets that were mistransferred and have Tether reissue his USDT that was frozen after the attack. Today’s announcement did not mention these efforts, which we believe are underway.

French police have also arrested two suspects in connection with the attack, according to law enforcement tweets. February 24thPolice also seized €210,000 ($222,100) of cryptocurrency in connection with the attack.
