Raspberry Pi Backpack Is Ready for Hacking on the Go
The Raspberry pie It’s a great option to get your home life in order, but what if you want to take it on the go?Here is a project like this by Davide Marchetti Bag build (Opens in a new tab) Come into play. He took the Raspberry Pi and some additional accessories and packed them into the mobile platform inside the backpack.
With his Pi-equipped backpack system, Marchetti can handle all kinds of “outdoor hack revitalities”. From the sound system to the Hack RF antenna, it includes a lot of fun tools, so he’s ready for anything fun and serious that might come on the go. However, of course, such an all-in-one rig has some flexibility. This is part of its appeal, so it’s difficult to lock in its purpose to one goal.
This bag build is exactly that, build. Marchetti put all the components in a bag, compressed them, and didn’t call them complete. Instead, this rig includes a custom-made frame designed to carefully mount all components inside, protect the components on the move, and provide easy access when needed.
Marchetti kindly shared a list of all the parts he put in for anyone interested in making their own or something similar. It has a Raspberry Pi 4, but if you have it, you can easily replace it with a Raspberry Pi 3 B +, but the 4B is more powerful for backup.
In addition to Pi, it also has two external storage devices, including one HDD and one SSD. I have a Linksys WRT1900ACS router, a Wi-Fi adapter, a GL.iNet OpenWrt router, and a Hack RF device that uses an antenna that supports 1 MHz to 3 GHz. It also has a docking station with Thunderbolt 4 and Thunderbolt NVMe. To keep things mobile, it relies on a 250Wh battery.
