Raspberry Pi Camera Takes Photos Using AI Instead of Lens

This device looks somewhat like a classic camera. The part that hits the lens has a huge cover like the nose of a star mole. The viewfinder is a screen where you can adjust settings for image generation. It also features a series of dials that can be adjusted to set things like film grain and sharpness for AI programs that integrate into the photo generation process. Pressing the capture button will trigger the system to generate a photo based on the selected parameters.
The data used for image generation is collected using various open APIs. This includes your location, date, time, nearby landmarks, and more. Paragraphica uses all this information to process the final photo using text-to-image AI.
To power the project, Kalman chose to use a Raspberry Pi 4. The Raspberry Pi 4 is housed inside a custom 3D printed shell along with all the other electronic components. The viewfinder display doubles as a touchscreen, so it can be used for some control inputs. The position is determined by his GPS module.
The Paragraphica software was written by Karmann for this project.
