The first game in the project is something like Quiz Buzzer. Requires 3 people to play. First, one reads a question to her two players. If the player thinks they have the correct answer, they must hit (or tap) the button. The first button pressed lights up to indicate who can answer the question. The second game is a reaction game that can support up to 4 players. When the light comes on, the player must press the button as quickly as possible.

Watkiss uses a Raspberry Pi Pico because it doesn’t require a lot of processing power to handle these games. Any model Raspberry Pi Pico can be used, including other RP2040 based boards. Arcade buttons have 5V LEDs that are integral to the core functionality of the game, so they cannot be replaced with non-LED buttons. A ULN2803 Darlington driver board is used to control the LEDs. All housed in a case that can be made with the best 3D printers.
