Raspberry Pi Twitch TV Plays Streams When They Go Live
we have seen some raspberry pi Past TV including this retro tv simulator When The Simpsons-themed TV Play anime sitcom episodes. But this is the first time I’ve seen a dedicated Pi-powered TV playing a live stream from a Twitch streamer, this custom made by a maker named Bob (his handle, also known as Rsheldiii) jerking tv Any live stream can be programmed to start playing as soon as the live stream becomes active.
The hardware is housed inside a purple 3D printed shell that resembles the twitch.tv logo. Bob has configured the system to play at full her volume in real time when the stream starts. He describes it as “twitch.tv TV, his twitch.tv TV made to look like twitch.tv, playing twitch.tv on a monitor.”
In the project details, Bob did not specify the exact model of Raspberry Pi used in the project. But you can also recreate it using something newer like the Raspberry Pi 4, or something smaller like the Raspberry Pi Zero. Anything with built-in Wi-Fi support would be nice, but you can use a regular Pi Zero with a USB-to-Ethernet adapter. The Raspberry Pi is very hard to come by right now. buy raspberry pi 4 If you are in the market for a new Pi.
In addition to the 3D printed housing and Raspberry Pi, this project utilizes an Elecrow Raspberry Pi monitor. It’s 5 inches wide and has an 800 x 480 pixel IPS panel with a built-in speaker. This will allow you to view the stream and play audio on your TV. Power is supplied to the system via USB.
Twitch streams are processed using an application called Streamlink. It can be installed on a Pi running the Raspberry Pi OS and requires a little configuration to optimize for your particular stream. You can find more information on how to set up Streamlink on your twitch.tv TV project page: Github.
