Solana NFT marketplace Magic Eden expands to Ethereum

According to a press release shared with CryptoSlate, Solana’s (SOL) leading NFT marketplace, Magic Eden, has announced that it will support Ethereum (ETH) NFTs on its platform.

The platform plans to provide a multi-chain solution for NFT collectors and creators, and said it has launched several tools to enable it.

These include the Magic Eden List for whitelisting and targeted audiences, the ETH/SOL compatible Magic Eden Launchpad, and the Magic Eden Drop Calendar. Additionally, the platform plans to launch cross-chain transaction analysis tools soon.

According to the press release, the first cross-chain NFT collection EZU will be released in the coming weeks.

EZU, the sister project of Psychedelics Anonymous on Ethereum, will debut on the Solana-based NFT marketplace. Users can be created in both SOL and ETH.

Platform co-founder Zhuoxun Yin said:

“Creators launching Magic Eden no longer have to face the difficult decision of choosing one chain over another at the cost of limiting their potential audience reach.”

Yin added that the Magic Eden List is a completely free “white label marketplace solution” that caters to the needs of creators.

Magic Eden CEO Jack Lu said:

“Launching collector tools like the Cross-Chain Magic Eden Drop Calendar is the first step towards realizing that vision. I have.”

Magic Eden is the dominant presence in the Solana NFT Marketplace, accounting for over 90% of secondary NFT transactions on the blockchain network. The market has recorded a trading volume of about $2 billion.

However, Ethereum is still the largest NFT network. According to CryptoSlam, Ethereum NFTs have sales volume $535 million in July, that of Solana NFT was $56 million.
