Thousands of Capri Sun Cases Recalled Over Possible Cleaning Product Contamination

More than 5,700 cases of wild cherry flavored Capri Sun Juice have been voluntarily recalled that may have been contaminated with diluted cleaning fluid. Kraft Heinz recently announced.

Cleaning fluids are commonly used in food processing equipment and were inadvertently introduced into the production line. the company said on FridayConsumers contacted the company with complaints about the taste of the juice.

The company said the “use by” date for all affected juice pouches is June 25, 2023. Foil his pouches contain his 6.6 fl oz and are individually packed in a cardboard box.

Kraft Heinz said it is working with retailers and distributors to remove the tainted juice from its shelves. Customers who have already purchased the product can not drink it and can return it.

“Kraft Heinz is committed to maintaining the highest safety and quality standards,” the company said in a statement.

The universal product code is 087684001004 for cartons and 876840040900 for cases.

Customers may also contact the company at 1-800-280-8252 between 9am and 6pm weekdays to find out if the juice they purchased is subject to the recall and to obtain a refund.

A company spokesperson did not disclose the states or countries that received the affected batches or the amount of cleaning solution in the pouches. Nor did it mention whether those who drank the juice reported adverse effects.
