The mother of her child who broadcasts her love life to aliens (“Landscape of the Invisible Hand”). Her mother is the closest person to her.

“I’ve raised sisters and brothers,” she said in a phone interview from Los Angeles in June. “When I got married, I was raising my ex-husband’s kids. I know what it feels like.”

The biggest achievement was psychic ability. Haddish, 43, said he’s not psychic, but he has hopes. Every night before she goes to bed she writes down what happened that day and what she wants to get out of the next day.

“It always starts with ‘I’,” she said. “Tomorrow I’m going to break this man’s heart because he’s my last, my last…”

Haddish talked about the other tools she relies on to get through her days: tea, movies, music, and dancing. These are edited excerpts from the conversation.

My backyard is full of celery, lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, basil, and anything else I need to survive. I started gardening when I was a child. As an adult, I started growing vegetables as a way to escape the antics that were going on in my life. Even when I was homeless, I used to grow cucumbers in a cup in my car window. It was like, “If you can grow this seed, you can do anything.” they will die

I currently have an American Bulldog named Slumber and a Maltese/Yorkie mix named Sleeper. Both are named after what I really want to do. I had a pitbull and I think this is the sweetest, most obedient, friendly and helpful dog ever. Pitbulls are much smarter than American Bulldogs.

I travel a lot, so I don’t know, but when you’re on a plane, something helps a little. So at least once a week, I like to mix smooth move tea with hibiscus tea.

It’s a movie you go to see when you’re sad. It makes me laugh every time and makes me happy. A long time ago, I didn’t have a blockbuster video, so I flipped it. I knocked over two shelves while I was out. That’s when I decided to buy the movie. However, I bought it from a different store. I had to walk away from that blockbuster.

It’s my favorite water. I don’t know what kind of island this is, so I definitely want to drink the fresh alkaline spring water. I don’t want to drink purified water, but maybe I should drink water from behind the toilet. I want to drink water from rivers, springs, and the earth.

I use it for everything. I use it for frying. You can also put it on your elbow or knee. It softens and softens chapped skin. Sometimes I even apply it all over my body. Grape seeds are really good for you. That’s why I’m so upset they removed all the seeds from the grapes. I need seeds. How will it bear fruit? They’re trying to kill us, dude.

Funny thing is, when she first appeared I was like, “I don’t know about this.” It’s kind of corny. Then they played those songs on the radio over and over, and then you found yourself, oh, jumping and dancing. You can date Taylor Swift. While listening to Taylor Swift’s music, I’m having a good time looking back on my past and past relationships.

it’s necessary. I try to dance every day. it keeps you young. Dancing while eating food. I try on clothes and dance. The soundtrack is always playing in my head.

I like good tenugui. I know a lot of people on here and they use soap and water, that’s it. Well, I don’t think so. You need something to remove dead calluses and dirt. Even if you run out of soap, you can always clean with a tenugui. When I go somewhere and don’t have tenugui, I feel like people are dirty.

I have read Louise Hay’s book Heal Your Body at least four or five times. She has been ill several times. We were all sick here and there. This book helped me interact with my body and find out what was affecting me, why I was behaving the way I did, and why I was getting sick. it was very helpful.
