Xbox Firmware Update Makes Booting Faster
Microsoft’s Xbox Series X console firmware update promises to make incredibly fast systems even faster. Microsoft’s Xbox Insider ring distributes a new firmware release with a 5 second reduction in boot time. For users who turn on the console at least once a day, this means playing about 30 minutes extra games a year. This can waste browsing of the XboxGamesPass library.
However, some cheats are used to update the firmware. This reduces the duration of the Power-on Xbox logo, which previously took 9 seconds, to 5 seconds. You may be wondering if this reduction in boot time is due to the reduced intro, but given all the work Microsoft is devoting to Direct Storage, both consoles and PCs maximize the latest SSDs. It refers to Microsoft technology built for maximum use. Very fast speed (if you want the best, you can see the list of fastest SSDs).

Interestingly, even the original Xbox One has improved boot times with new firmware updates, according to Xbox Senior Product Manager Lead Jay Closenberg.
The speedup applies to cold boot, or what Microsoft calls “power saving” mode, which effectively turns off the console. It took 20 seconds at the end, but it should only take 15 seconds from this state for the profile to load on the console home screen.
Unfortunately, the firmware is only distributed to Xbox Insiders. XboxInsider participates in Microsoft’s beta program to receive advance firmware and software updates. Microsoft allows anyone to apply for insiders, so you can apply for yourself and reduce your startup time today. However, keep in mind that these updates have not been completed and all bugs may not have been resolved.
