Zotac RTX 4070 Ti Review — Spider-Man™: Across the Spider-Verse Edition

Earlier this year, Nvidia released the RTX 4070 Ti. This is a renamed and slightly priced down version of his ‘unreleased’ RTX 4080 12GB. It performed well, but it wasn’t revolutionary, but the features and specs were a bit questionable, and the price was $200 more than his RTX 3070 Ti from the previous generation. It’s in our list of the best graphics cards, but above all, there’s no better value alternative.
Zotac has partnered with a new team. Spider-Man™: Beyond the Spider-Verse Release the film in a campaign to try to generate more interest. It’s no surprise, given that sales of dedicated graphics cards are currently at their lowest levels in decades.unfortunately it is not Spider-Man™: Beyond the Spider-Verse Several Spider-Man™ games in the past have been very good, so this one is a perfect fit for the movie.
Just to clarify, the official name of the card I’m reviewing is Zotac Gaming GeForce RTX 4070 Ti: Amp Airo. Spider-Man™: Beyond the Spider-Verse Inspired graphics card bundle line. From now on, whenever we mention the Zotac RTX 4070 Ti, that’s the card we’re talking about.
[Side note: Yes, we’re supposed to put the TM symbol next to every mention of Spider-Man™, because Sony. Also, Sony would love for you to go watch the movie, eye-rolls not included.]
We already know what to expect Nvidia’s Ada Lovelace Architecture. We also saw the RTX 4070 Ti Founders Edition, but we also have reference clock cards. Zotac’s Amp Airo model comes with his 2,670 MHz boost clock, which is 60 MHz higher than the base model, and there’s not much difference in performance.
It’s very likely that its name says everything you really need to know about this card. Are you very excited? Spider-Man™: Beyond the Spider-Verse movie? Have you already seen it five times in theaters? Excited enough to spend $800+ on a themed graphics card? If so, Zotac is on your side.

There isn’t much to distinguish between the reference RTX 4070 Ti and the Zotac RTX 4070 Ti Amp Airo. Slightly higher boost clock, theoretically 2.3% better performance. This is basically within margin of error for most benchmarks, plus his Nvidia GPU routinely exceeds the prescribed boost his clocks. We’ll see how high (if any) Zotac’s card clock is later in this review.
Equally important is looking at the broader GPU market that the RTX 4070 Ti competes against. Nvidia’s next step is his RTX 4080, which costs a significant 50% more. This is a huge leap, and at that point you can probably tell yourself to buy his RTX 4090 outright.
By the way, there is no Zotac RTX 4090 or 4080 Spider-Man™: Beyond the Spider-Verse Models — Only the RTX 4070 Ti, RTX 4070, and RTX 4060 Ti get theme cards. again, RTX 4070 Amp Airo again RTX 4070 Twin Edge movie branding, or RTX 4060 Ti Twin Edgewe believe the 4070 Ti variant is the fastest option.
Zotac RTX 4070 Ti Amp Airo — Spider-Man™: Across the Spider-Verse Edition
Let’s talk about the hardware and accessories that come with the Zotac RTX 4070 Ti Amp Airo — Spider-Man™: Across the Spider-Verse Edition card. Of course, there is also the card itself, but we will get to that in a minute. Plus, you’ll get movie-themed items like magnetic backplates, stickers, totes, and Ztorm figures (dressed as either Spider-Man™, Gwen, or Spider-Man™ 2099). Oh, and a movie-themed package box.
Maybe some people like this. Others will just wonder what the fuss is all about. each independently. Of course, there’s also the 16-pin adapter that Zotac offers as a triple 8-pin variant. This is interesting. Many of his other RTX 4070 Ti cards only have dual 8-pin connections for adapters, and Zotac’s cards aren’t really overclocked. or many. As far as we know, needing an extra 8-pin connector won’t do you any good.
There’s also a support stand for the card, found on many RTX 40-series GPUs. It’s not as good as the stands we’ve seen so far, but it’s more compact, so it might be a good fit in some cases. I still think Asus’ magnetic support stand is one of the better solutions. Because the magnets can hold it in place (but be careful when moving the case that uses the support stand).
Zotac cards have a slightly rounded front (including the fan) and are 54mm thick.of Spider-Man™: Beyond the Spider-Verse A magnetic backplate adds an extra 2mm of thickness to the back of the card. Including the backplate, the total dimensions of the card are 310x123x56 mm. It’s not the biggest card out there, but it certainly doesn’t fit in a cramped case. It’s basically a triple slot card. It also weighs 1,224g with the backplate (but without the 16-pin adapter cable) and 1,142g without the backplate.
The Zotac RTX 4070 Ti has the right amount of RGB lighting, with a large ‘holographic’ strip on top. However, the default lighting scheme isn’t very good. Blue and green stripes appear for 1-2 minutes, then flash red and dim for a few seconds.Or is there just something wrong with the sample? Of course you can also change the lighting. Zotac’s Firestorm software.
But the really missed opportunity is that the movie-themed backplate has no lighting at all. The various incarnations of Spider-Man™ really wanted a glowing LED behind them. Otherwise, on a typical windowed PC, most people won’t even notice the extra decoration. Perhaps for his fully themed PC build, that wouldn’t be an issue, but the plastic backplate isn’t really a good fit for people who put their all into modding and decorating their cases.
The best thing I can say about the backplate is that you don’t have to worry about it in the future. Spider-Man™: Beyond the Spider-Verse, you can easily remove it and use just your regular old graphics card. Or give it to someone else and stick it on your fridge, car or any other metal surface.
The Zotac RTX 4070 Ti Amp Airo uses a common triple fan configuration. The fans are modestly sized at around 88mm in diameter and all rotate in the same counterclockwise direction. It also features the standard triple DisplayPort 1.4a connector and single HDMI 2.1 connector that we have seen on most of his Nvidia GPUs over the last three years.
There are many heatsink fins with 5 heatpipes running through them to provide adequate cooling. Again, it’s a 285W graphics card, so it doesn’t need extreme cooling settings when compared to his 320W-450W models that have been around for the last few years.
It’s also worth noting that Zotac cards typically don’t reach 285W. Across our test suite of 15 games, the maximum power consumption measured during testing was less than 280W, with a significant number of games using less than 250W. Spider-Man™: Miles Moralesrequiring only 225 W on average at 4K.
Zotac RTX 4070 Ti test setup
Our graphics card test system was updated earlier this year to use Intel’s fastest Core i9-13900K with all the features. He tested the Zotac RTX 4070 Ti card using Nvidia’s latest 535.98 driver released on May 30th. Other GPUs were tested with previous drivers, but most cards were retested last month (this time without Windows 11 virtualization-based security enabled).
In our first review of the RTX 4070 Ti, we looked at its performance across all the resolutions and settings we typically test: 1080p medium, 1080p ultra, 1440p ultra, and 4K ultra. We also got performance results from professional and AI benchmarks and upscaling including DLSS 3. For third-party cards like the Zotac RTX 4070 Ti, we limit our testing to 1080p/1440p/4K Ultra without considering other workloads. All margins should be relatively the same as the game results.
Our test PC included an MSI Z790 DDR5 motherboard, G.Skill DDR5 memory and a Sabrent 4TB SSD, and quickly filled it to about half of its total capacity. be quiet! You also provided a new 1600W Dark Power Pro 13 80 Plus Titanium rated power supply. Before cards like the RTX 4090, that would have been overkill.
Test results are limited to the latest generation GPUs and some previous generation AMD GPUs. If you want to see how the RTX 4070 Ti compares to other GPUs, check out our GPU benchmark hierarchy.
It also features Nvidia PCAT v2 (power capture and analysis tool) hardware so you can get real power usage, GPU clocks and more during all your gaming benchmarks. Most of the power test details are covered in a few pages.
