AMD Responds To RX 7900 XTX 110C Hotspot Issues
AMD has released an official statement regarding user reports of the Radeon RX 7900 XTX graphics card. In a nutshell, the chip maker is urging affected consumers to contact support.
The Radeon RX 7900 XTX is one of the best graphics cards out there, but the MBA (Made By AMD) models seem to suffer from overheating. The reference design has seen hotspots up to 110 degrees Celsius. User feedback states that the RDNA 3 graphics card exhibits this behavior even with the cooling fan at full throttle.

According to AMD, 110 degrees Celsius is the normal junction temperature for the Radeon RX 7900 XTX. However, our current suspicion is that uneven contact pressure from the cold plate may be causing overheating issues with his reference Radeon RX 7900 XTX graphics card. Some user accounts claim that re-pasting or replacing his TIM on the thermal pad is a viable solution. Nonetheless, AMD’s team is currently investigating this issue, and PowerColor has started collecting user feedback to help investigate.
