The Samsung Odyssey Neo G8 might seem a bit overkill for an Xbox Series X or PlayStation 5 given its up to 240Hz refresh rate, but it’s still a phenomenal panel for console gaming. The Odyssey Neo G8 supports native HDMI 2.1, so this monitor allows him to achieve 120 fps at 4K resolution.
Samsung also outfitted this 32-inch monitor with a 1000R VA panel with mini LED lighting with 1,196 dimming zones. He measured a contrast of 25,000:1 compared to 3,000:1 for a typical VA panel. This is a 1080p gaming monitor with a wide color gamut and has great performance. Contrast ratio backed by solid build quality. At this price, you’re getting a relatively bare-bones monitor, but Monoprice has invested its time in delivering the most important features for gamers within a budget.
Dark Matter 42770 boasts a 1ms GTG response time and achieves up to 144 Hz with variable refresh rate support for Xbox and PlayStation consoles. Another plus is that this monitor supports both AMD FreeSync and NVIDIA G-Sync Adaptive-Sync technology.

Buying Tips for Xbox and PlayStation Gaming Monitors
Consider the following when deciding which gaming monitor is best for your Xbox Series X/S or PlayStation 5.
✅ Resolution: 4K, QHD or Full HD. Microsoft Xbox Series X and Sony PlayStation 5 support refresh rates up to 120Hz at 1080p, 1440p and 4K resolutions. Microsoft’s entry-level Xbox Series S uses a less powerful CPU and GPU configuration than its sibling, the Xbox Series X, limiting its support for resolutions up to 1440p.

Displays with OLED panels are expensive, but they are the most colorful ever.
