Cezanne Lives On: Ryzen 7 5700 Surfaces Without Integrated Graphics
AMD’s Zen 4 processors could compete with the best CPUs on the market. Despite this, the chipmaker has not moved on from Zen 3. video card As spotted, Gigabyte has listed an unannounced Zen 3 chip from the Ryzen 5000G (Cezanne) era.
The Ryzen 7 5700 is an octa-core processor with 16 threads, a configuration well known for the Ryzen 7 5700X (Vermeer) and Ryzen 7 5700G (Cezanne). However, according to Gigabyte’s CPU support listthe Ryzen 7 5700 is related to the latter, essentially becoming the Ryzen 7 5700G without integrated graphics.
The Ryzen 7 5700 has a base clock of 3.7 GHz and a boost clock of 4.6 GHz. The base clock of the chip is 100 MHz for the Ryzen 7 5700G. They share the same 4MB L2 cache and 16MB L3 cache. Similar to the Ryzen 7 5700G, the non-G version has a TDP of 65W. The unreleased processor is therefore faster than the Ryzen 7 5700GE which is a 35W more energy efficient version of the Ryzen 7 5700G.
The Ryzen 7 5700 plugs into the AM4 socket. Interestingly, octa-core processors do not require new motherboard board firmware. It relies on the same firmware as the Ryzen 7 5700G and Ryzen 7 5700GE. However, AMD did not announce his Ryzen 7 5700. It’s unclear when Gigabyte added the SKU to the list. No other motherboard manufacturer lists his Ryzen 7 5700.
The Ryzen 7 5700 is probably not a retail product. Given the specs, we suspect this could be his SKU dedicated for use in pre-built systems by his OEM. I found some PCs online that utilize the Ryzen 7 5700. Something like this: From an Argentinian retailer. With AMD filling out its product portfolio with new Zen 4 parts, the chip makers will probably end up getting rid of excess Zen 3 silicon. What better way to do that than by releasing another Ryzen chip, even if it doesn’t have an iGPU?
