Cougar’s NxSys Aero Chair Cools Your Back With a 200mm ARGB Fan

Cougar has announced several new gaming chairs at Computex 2023. Perhaps the most interesting new gaming furniture revealed is called Cougar NxSys Aero which integrates a 200mm aRGB cooling fan. Before we go any further, it’s important to clarify that the NxSys Aero’s cooling is directed towards the back. So people with heat stroke probably need relief elsewhere.

It’s starting to get really hot in the northern hemisphere, so devices that cool you are starting to look just as attractive as those that cool your PC. In addition, the chair’s cooling keeps users “comfortable and focused for hours,” Couger said.

Like the 200mm aRGB fan section on the back of the chair called “Cold Fusion,” Cougar has implemented several complementary technologies to keep your back cool and comfortable during the hottest PC gaming sessions. The ‘Air Bender’ system claims to provide adaptive cushioning using hollow spaces of elastomeric mesh and a breathable back cover. According to the description, the “air bender” creates a cushion of air between the back and the backrest material. This sounds very special, but it can easily become too cold or uncomfortable. Some third-party testing is required to verify this functionality.

Cougar’s NxSys Aero chair also has built-in lighting and fan controllers. This is a good choice for those who prefer the immediacy and simplicity of an app-free device. Specifically, users can adjust both fan speed and aRGB lighting intensity via convenient built-in controls, Couger said.
