Cross The Ages and Immutable collaborate to launch P2E collectible card game

Mobile collectible card game Cross the Ages (CTA) has partnered with blockchain gaming giant Immutable X to leverage its Layer 2 scalability solution to release The first trading card game.

This game has been in development for almost two years. More than 70 international artists including Joshua Kairos of Game of Thrones and Star Wars, Joss Salano of Lord of the Rings, Andreas Rochas of Harry Potter and Sandra Dukiewicz of Marvel. Built by a team of artists. A series of novels also underpin the game’s story and unique world. The first book in the series, The Chrome Spell Book, was written by a team of 13 authors and is available for download now.

The CTA team wants to leverage Immutable X’s layer 2 scalability solution to issue large numbers of transactions quickly and enable high-quality story progression. Immutable X co-founder Robbie Ferguson summarizes the purpose of the CTA:

The CTA game is a free-to-play, mobile-first collectible card game that allows players to collect unique NFT cards by completing quests individually or in teams. Cards differ in uniqueness that reflects their value. The game also has countless “Easter Egg” NFTs hidden in the novel for players to find.

The CTA team invests heavily in the dystopian fantasy world and storyline behind the game. The project was also named Best GameFi Project of 2022 and has already attracted the attention of over 500,000 community members worldwide.

Blockchain gaming seems to have withstood the cold and continues its expansion, even as all crypto fields shrink due to the coldest winter ever.
