Justin Sun’s Grenada ambassadorship to WTO ends

Tron founder Justin Sun said his term as ambassador to Grenada ends today.

On Twitter on March 31st threadSun explained that his role as Grenada’s ambassador to the World Trade Organization (WTO) will end following the end of his term.

Earlier this week, local media reported report In Grenada, Sun said he, along with other ambassadors, had been recalled after the party that appointed them in June 2022 lost elections. All ambassadors were reportedly recalled in the early months of the new administration.

Sun said a highlight of his tenure was representing the Grenada delegation at the 12th Ministerial Conference. He said this allowed him to speak at conferences and discuss trade issues with representatives from around the world.

Meanwhile, Sun said his focus will be on ensuring a smooth transition of duties to his successor in the coming months. he added:

“I will be taking some time off before continuing my civil service career, with a particular focus on the digital economy and crypto regulation. I believe these areas are of vital importance to the future of trade and development. ”

Sun was appointed WTO Ambassador by Grenada in December 2021. The account still has this honorific as of press time.

The US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) recently filed a lawsuit against Sun and the company. The SEC has argued that the sale of TRON (TRX) and BitTorrent (BTT) constitutes an unregistered securities offering.
