Nvidia RTX 4080 Drops to $999, Matching All-Time Low

The Nvidia GeForce RTX 4080 has strong performance, but is often expensive. Competing with Amazon’s Prime Day, B&H MSI GeForce RTX 4080 16GB Ventus 3x OC, $999.99, which matches the all-time low of $200 below the manufacturer’s suggested retail price. It’s also around $100 cheaper than his other RTX 4080 cards currently on sale.

The specs here are pretty standard, with 16 GB of GDDR6X VRAM and a boost clock of 2,550 MHz, slightly ahead of Nvidia’s Founders Edition card. This GPU features his Nvidia’s 3rd Generation RT Cores for Ray Tracing and supports DLSS 3 for better performance with Tensor Cores.

When we reviewed the RTX 4080 Founders Edition, we praised the GPU’s speed, efficiency, and ray tracing performance, but criticized the need for DLSS 3 and its high price. However, the sale slightly dampens the latter downside. In our GPU tier, the Radeon RX 7900 XTX is slightly faster and can be purchased for roughly the same price, but this deal makes the prices a little more even.

This is a thick 3.5 slot card, a long card with 3 fans, so you need to make sure there is room for the card inside the case. It uses a 12VHPWR connector and can draw 320 watts, so you need to make sure you have a powerful PSU.
