Nvidia’s RTX 4080 Founders Edition and AD103 GPU Pictured

famous leaker @Yuko Kitty has released the first images of the printed circuit board for Nvidia’s upcoming GeForce RTX 4080 Founders Edition graphics card and the company’s AD103 graphics processor. The GeForce RTX 4080 FE’s PCB is similar to the GeForce RTX 4090 FE’s PCB, but there are significant differences between the two designs.

Just like Nvidia’s Founders Edition graphics card designs are similar, the company’s printed circuit board design also uses a similar cooling system. The GeForce RTX 4080 FE and GeForce RTX 4090 FE PCB designs are also similar, with both boards using the same 12VHPWR auxiliary power connector. However, the RTX 4080 FE has fewer power stages and capacitors as the former board is rated at 320W graphics power while the RTX 4090 FE draws up to 450W. Also, the AD103 GPU features a 256-bit memory interface while the AD102 processor features a 384-bit memory bus, so the RTX 4080 FE will not make much use of Micron’s GDDR6X memory chips.
