Samsung’s 49-inch Odyssey OLED G9 DQHD Gaming Monitor Hits Preorder for $2,200
The ultrawide gaming monitor market has exploded in recent years, and Samsung is making the most of it by releasing the 49-inch Odyssey OLED G9. Not only is Samsung using his OLED technology, which is praised for its jet blackness and rich colors, but it’s also using a rare dual Quad HD resolution (5120 x 1440). It has a 32:9 aspect ratio and provides plenty of horizontal space for displaying multiple documents side by side.
But the Odyssey OLED G9 is primarily gaming-focused, which is backed by a 0.03ms response time (gray to grey) and a 240Hz refresh rate with AMD FreeSync Premium Pro support. Samsung opened pre-orders for the Odyssey OLED G9 today, selling for $2,199 at Best Buy. Best Buy says pre-orders are expected to arrive on June 26th. Of course, Samsung is also offering monitors directly, and from today until June 25, he’s offering a $250 electronic gift card for each pre-order.
