The Xbox Showcase will take place on June 11th at 10am PT/1pm ET. For a little fun, I decided to try out what I thought might come up. Some of these are probably completely empty dreams, but that’s half the fun. Tell us what went right and what went wrong after the event.
Ryan’s Prophecy

Make a layup and kick off. Our first look at Fable’s gameplay! Fable was teased on Twitter by the Xbox social media team last week, so it’s likely we’ll see what I’m most excited about in the portfolio in the next few days. I can’t wait to see Playground’s take on this. And if this turns out to be just a PC port or a Fable 2 remaster, I’m going to riot.

I also believe that id Software will announce their next game. It’s a single-player Quake reboot that will do for Quake what Doom 2016 did for Doom. I’m not saying the gameplay will be the same. not exactly the same. – However, we plan to modernize and reinvent Quake for the 2020s. It’s time; Doom Eternal shipped over three years before him, and id already has a tech base in the form of the idTech 666, already updated and optimized for the Series X.

We’re also expecting a teaser for Gears 6, including the first UE5 look. Gears games in the past always got short teasers long before their release. It’s been a while since we heard from Undead Labs about a sequel to Zombies, but I think we’re finally getting some gameplay. The survival genre is very popular these days, and it’s time to evolve that formula and show us something new.
Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2
The release date for A Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2 is probably close. We’ve been talking about it for a long time, and once we get the release date and new gameplay, we’ll be able to talk more. I believe it will be around the beginning of 2024. There’s no reason it should be, but when Gears 6 launches at the end of next year, can Have this earlier this year.

Hope to see Ark 2. Earlier this year, there was the Ark 1 remake and possibly the drama of moving all servers to new tech in preparation for Ark 2. So I’d like to see some gameplay and finally see what it looks like. As for what Ark 2 is like, it should be very different from the first survival game, and he’s been a year since the original release date.
flintlock release date
I think the release date for Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn will also be decided. Last year was a gameplay reveal, so it feels like the time has finally come for a date and a flashy trailer. I wasn’t sure at first, but the more I saw the gameplay, the more excited I got. Presumably set to release before June 12th, Flintlock would be a great way to get some Witcher 3 vibes.
The Outer Worlds 2 Gameplay
I believe there will be a gameplay trailer for The Outer Worlds 2. We probably don’t have an exact release date, but we estimate a release window sometime next year. Considering the release pace that Microsoft is actively trying to release, this fits very well into his 2024 release window, so it’s definitely time to introduce some new details.

Phil Spencer teased Kinda Funny that he’s played Avowed’s build and it looks good, but we suspect he took his hat off about the information that might be revealed during the showcase. It will end up. Avowed is the perfect closer and a fresh take on the Pillars of Eternity universe. I love the mechanics of death and reincarnation and the deity system and am very interested in how it evolves to play like an Elder Scrolls game. We hope to learn more in the near future.

Microsoft has already admitted that its reveal will not be entirely CGI, so Perfect Dark gameplay will be a welcome surprise at the event. Perfect Dark has reportedly been in trouble since The Initiative’s founding, with many people leaving the studio, but Microsoft remains confident in the team and has partnered with Crystal Dynamics to cross the finish line. Sometimes.
Inzile RPG FPS
I’m predicting inXile’s new RPG FPS, but I think it will be a Fallout interpretation. Obsidian created the hugely popular Fallout: New Vegas, but with a new partnership with Bethesda, there’s a lot more they can do here. Personally, I would love to see a remake of Fallout 1 with a modern engine. Furthering the rumors is that Brian Fargo worked on ‘Wasteland’ and that the game was inspired by the Fallout franchise. I have high hopes here.
