Nintendo Has Launched a Switch Repair Subscription in Japan
Nintendo has launched a switch repair subscription service in Japan. That’s about $ 18/15 a year.
As reported by VGC, Wide Care covers all Nintendo Switch hardware (standard and Lite), as well as Joy-Con controllers, TV docks, and AC adapters, in case of natural failure or accidental damage. The service costs JPY 200 per month (approximately $ 1.50 / £ 1.25) and subscribers can receive up to 6 repairs per year. This includes two hardware repairs of up to JPY 100,000 ($ 739 / £ 615).
Nintendo has only announced a subscription service for Japan so far, but IGN asked the company if they plan to introduce Wide Care in other regions.
