Age of Wonders 4 Announced, Arrives This Spring

Paradox Interactive and developer Triumph Studios have announced Age of Wonders 4 nine years after its predecessor’s release.

A May 2, 2023 release date was also announced, bringing Age of Wonders 4 to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and S, and PC.

Combining strategy RPG combat with turn-based combat, players can create an empire of their choice by infusing different cultural traits into their people and later revealing them in battle.

Triumph also promised intense level choices and outcomes that could influence later games. To make Age of Wonders 4 endlessly replayable, random events and world configurations are also added to keep things fresh.

Triumph co-founder and Age of Wonders director said: 4 Renato Sass.

“Even after all this time, we continue to add great new ideas to Age of Wonders. I am looking for a special experience.”

In a 7/10 review of its predecessor, IGN said:

Ryan Dinsdale is an IGN freelancer and UK news editor. He talks about witchers all day long.
