Amnesia: The Bunker Delayed Two Weeks

Frictional Games has announced that Amnesia: The Bunker has been postponed to June 6th. The game was postponed to fix a rare crash issue that was difficult to identify and reproduce.

In a two-minute video by Creative Lead Fredrik Olsson, he explained that the game is currently in the certification process and needs more time to fix the crashes before release.

“Of course, the alternative would have been to ask the team to work weekends or nights, but we don’t do that at Frictional,” Olson said. He assured viewers that the game was on track in terms of gameplay, art, animation and atmosphere, and that the development team was ready to ship the game.

However, there is a demo of Amnesia: The Bunker, which releases to Steam on May 22nd. The game has been announced for his PlayStation and Xbox, but it’s unclear if a demo is available there as well.

After many delays, Amnesia: The Bunker was supposed to be released this month in May, but it will now be released in June. In IGN’s Amnesia: The Bunker preview, we said: “Merging Amnesia’s dense, spooky atmosphere with resource management and the act of being cautious about danger is a strong combination for a horror game, and so far Amnesia: The Bunker feels: It’s going to be an exciting development for this series that I’m keeping an eye on.”
