Angry Birds Is Getting a New Animated Series on Prime Video

The hit mobile game Angry Birds is now an all-new animated series on Amazon Prime.

Announced today, the 24-episode series titled Angry Birds: Mystery Island will feature three new hatchlings: Mia, Rosie and Buddy. There is also a Forex piglet named Hamilton.

“We are excited to work with Amazon to add another chapter to the story of the chicks in Angry Birds Mystery Island,” said Hanna Valkeapää-Nokkala, Head of Brand Licensing at Rovio. “I think Hina’s fans are eager to see them speaking their voices for the first time in their series.”

The show follows four young people who set off on an island vacation, all at their own expense, only to be accidentally whisked away to a mysterious, unmapped island.

It’s not exactly FarCry, but if a ragtag mob wants to find a way home, you’ll need to explore the island and unlock its secrets. Meanwhile, they leave their parentsless home to encounter exotic sights and unexplained natural phenomena.

Creator Eric Rogers said, “Being able to work with such a dream team and cast has been a highlight of my career.” “Together, we’re devising a binge-worthy, mystery-filled series packed with comedy, heart and hilarious moments.”

Speaking of the cast, the four main characters are voiced by none other than Harvey Gillen, Kate Micucci, Dominic Monaghan, and Nasim Pedrad.

Veronica Pickett, Head of Original Series for Amazon Kids, said, “It’s exciting to expand the world of Angry Birds with adorable new characters and multi-layered storytelling that speaks to children as equals and heartfelt.”

Other hatched chicks were seen in the animated film Angry Birds 2 and also had roles in the hit game series.

“Angry Birds has captivated people of all ages and became a global phenomenon from the moment the first game debuted, and its cultural presence remains strong today,” said Melissa, head of animation at Amazon Studios. Wolf said. “We are excited about the opportunity to expand the world of chicks into our Family Girlfriend series and bring more stories about these beloved birds to our customers around the world.”
