Bandai Namco Cans Gundam Evolution Just a Year After Launch, Apologises to Players

“GUNDAM EVOLUTION” will end in November this year, just one year after its release.

Bandai Namco has announced that the free-to-play 6v6 shooter will end on November 29, 2023, making it unplayable. Gundam Evolution will launch on his PC in September 2022, followed by consoles in November of last year.

and Note to PlayersExecutive Producer Kazuya Maruyama said the announcement was “extremely sad” and apologized to players.

“We wanted to create a title that connects FPS fans and Gundam fans,” continues Maruyama. “We challenged ourselves to create a full-fledged Gundam FPS game that can be played all over the world.

“We would like to express our gratitude to everyone who has played and supported the game so far.At the same time, we would like to sincerely apologize to our fans and players.”

Despite the closure, Season 6 is scheduled for August 23rd, with the final season coming out on October 25th. “We will do our best so that players can enjoy ‘GUNDAM EVOLUTION’ to the very end,” said Maruyama.

The sale of Evo Coin, a premium currency, will stop on July 26th. Players who leave will be able to continue using “GUNDAM EVOLUTION” until it goes dark in November. Bandai Namco said it will not refund previously purchased coins or items.
