Battlefield 3 Reality Mod Will Overhaul Everything From Dynamic Weather To Realtime Day-Night Cycles
After seven years of work with more than 80 contributors, the expected Battlefield 3 Reality Mod will finally be released next week, adding features such as day-night cycles and improved health and medical systems to the base game.
Today shared by the large team behind the mod trailer For v0.1, it is set to be released on July 17th.

according to mod roadmapIn the next release, we will introduce the following features:
- Custom spawn system (FOB and rally points)
- Adjusted game pace (movement / weapon processing speed)
- Gun play (suppression / recoil / damage)
- Adjusted gun / explosion sound
- Health and medical system (bleeding / bandage / resurrection)
- Custom UI (Main Menu / Spawn Menu / Map / Communication Rose / HUD)
- AAS game mode
- 5 modified and enhanced vanilla maps
- Two custom factions (USMC / Russian Army)
- 9 fixing kits for each faction
- Modified vanilla vehicle (transportation only)
- Improved visuals (day / night cycle / weather)
This release adds a lot of impressive new mechanics and visual improvements to the game, but the team noted that this release is the “starting point”. Future releases will hone these mechanics while adding new game modes, custom maps, and other playable units.
Gives 9 to the original Battlefield 3 and calls it “one of the best multiplayer experiences of the year.” We also reviewed the Battlefield 2 Project Reality mod. This affected the next BF3 mod and praised its “mercilessly demanding” realism.
