It’s hard to believe, but 2022 is coming to an end. We look forward to the great stories and moments in store for 2023, and we think it’s the perfect time to celebrate what has been a special year in the world of entertainment and gaming.
To help us reach this goal, we’ll be announcing our nominees for the best video games, movies, TV shows, comics and anime of 2022 this week, and the winners next week. Good luck to all candidates. Elected or not, they should be proud of what he’s accomplished this past year.
Best movies of 2022
We start this week by announcing our picks for the best movies of 2022. From Everything Everywhere All at Once to his RRR, Top Gun: Maverick, moviegoers were treated to a wide range of stories worth buckets of popcorn.

Best video games and best TV series of 2022
Want to know where the best video game and TV show contenders are? Fear not. All of these will be published later this week and will be added to this page when they are published.
To be eligible for IGN’s 2022 Video Game, Film, TV Show and Comic Awards, a majority of the editorial staff must be able to watch or play the title by December 2, 2022. We will write any title as a nominee if it will be released by December 9, 2020, or if we have enough editorial staff to judge the title in a pre-release environment.
In deciding which category to host this year’s awards, we wanted to make sure we included a wide variety of video games, movies, TV shows, comics, and anime with a wide variety of talents.
