Bungie Reportedly Working on a Destiny Mobile Game

Bungy is reportedly working on the Destiny mobile game, a first-person shooter that has been in development for over two years.

According to the report from Game post, The developer has partnered with Chinese technology company NetEase to create the game. NetEase employees have posted to LinkedIn that they have worked with Bungie to develop an “unreleased FPS mobile game.”

This was supported by an anonymous source familiar with NetEase’s development plans. He told The Game Post about the existence of mobile games. It’s reportedly not connected to Destiny 2, but instead it’s a standalone title.

The report on Destiny mobile games first surfaced in September 2021 following several jobs advertised in the project, and in another post this April, Bungie was looking for a mobile platform engineer.

The developers themselves haven’t confirmed anything, but even though Destiny 2 was released almost five years ago in September 2017, little is known about what Bungie is working on. There is at least one new IP under development. It’s a character-focused multiplayer game with humor and RPG elements-but I don’t share much about it.

Bungie was just as harsh about the reported mobile games, but if it’s already been in development for two years, it could be announced shortly.
