Call of Duty Showcase Will Include Warzone 2, Modern Warfare 2 Beta, and More in September

Activision Blizzard has announced Call of Duty: Next. This is a livestream event with information about Call of Duty: Warzone 2, Modern Warfare 2 and his Warzone on mobile. The showcase airs on his September 15th, followed by Modern Warfare 2’s public beta.

Presented in call of duty blog, Activision Blizzard calls Next “an era-defining franchise event that showcases the near future of Call of Duty.” No specific time has been announced at the time of writing.

Events include:

  • Information on Modern Warfare 2
  • Information about Call of Duty: Warzone 2
  • Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile Information
  • Modern Warfare 2 Multiplayer Revealed
  • Streamers playing games live
  • Unannounced Information “And Surprise”

The event will be followed by two sets of open betas for Modern Warfare 2’s multiplayer mode. The first set, September 16-20, will be exclusive to PlayStation, while the second (September 22-26) will be cross-play across all platforms.

After many rumors, it has finally been confirmed that Infinity Ward is working on a reboot sequel for the 2019 Modern Warfare subseries. I saw the game for the first time as part of .

A completely new version of Call of Duty: Warzone was announced earlier this year. Developed by Infinity Ward and includes “an all-new playspace and a new sandbox mode”. It will also be developed with a new engine developed for Modern Warfare 2.

The 2023 Call of Duty game will release in 2024, and it was reported that the series may no longer be an annual franchise after Microsoft acquired Activision Blizzard, so this will be the last annual Call of Duty game. However, Activision Blizzard is reportedly committed to keeping the next three Call of Duty games multiplatform.
