CD Projekt’s New Witcher Trilogy Has Its Director

CD Projekt’s longtime animator Sebastian Kalemba has announced that he will direct the studio’s new Witcher saga.

According to Karemba LinkedIn, the developer has been with CD Projekt Red since 2014. From 2014 until 2016 he was the lead his animator, and he was in charge of animation his team for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and he Cyberpunk 2077. From 2016 to the present, Kalemba is Animation and Animation Director at CD Projekt Red, where he oversees “all creative and administrative aspects of animation in-house.”

The first game in the new Witcher saga entered pre-production earlier this year. Details are sparse at this point, but many fans believe The Witcher 3’s Ciri could be the star of the new game.

There is one wrinkle to this story that CD Projekt has already announced another director for The Witcher 4.
