Chunks Of Half-Life 2 Are Hidden Inside Portal on Switch — And Hackers Are Getting Them Working
Valve was released after yesterday’s Nintendo Direct Mini Portal: Companion Collection, Portal and Portal 2 bundle for Nintendo Switch. Within 24 hours, hackers already know that this bundle contains games that are essentially hidden within its code, and that it’s nothing but Half-Life 2.
Yesterday, Twitter user @OatmealDome share I found the whole Half-Life 2 (save some things like maps, music, etc.) in the game files.
[Portal 1]
Source engine debuts on Switch!
-May be based on NVIDIA Shield port, Xbox 360 is a bit studded
-The entire Half-Life 2 (excluding maps and music) is present in the ROM (!?) And may be leftovers from the Shield version.

@OatmealDome pointed out that Portal1 is just a fancy mod for Half-Life2, so Portals with Half-Life2 fragments are expected. However, we also found large chunks such as NPCs and voice clips that did not correlate with the portal.
In fact, there are so many works that they were able to complete modHalf-Life2 to Switch Use fragments hidden within the portal.
Of course, the version of Half-Life 2 built through Portal isn’t exactly the same as its PC’s predecessor — @OatmealDome said he edited the load time and built a crash bypass. That said, mods built from different games run very smoothly.
Portal: With the exception of the Companion Collection (and its hidden Half-Life 2 chunks), yesterday’s Nintendo Direct Mini has been superseded by other announcements like the Personaon Switch.
