Comedy Shooter High on Life Surprise-Launches on PS4 and PS5

Talking gun comedy shooter High on Life launched on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 after seven months of console exclusivity on Xbox.

Developer Squanch Games made this surprise announcement during San Diego Comic-Con 2023. and spoke. And then we talked,” said studio director Mike Fridley. “Since its launch in December, we’ve been so excited about the welcome to High on Life. The excitement for our PlayStation fans has faded a bit, but that’s why we’re so excited to share that it’s coming out soon. Like now! Thanks for waiting!”

IGN gave High on Life an 8/10 in their review, stating, “High on Life is a laugh-out-loud funny space journey that’s chaotic, weird, and a lot of fun.” It was a huge hit, reaching over 7.5 million players thanks to its first day release on Game Pass. High on Life was also his biggest Xbox Game Pass release of 2022, his biggest third-party release in Game Pass history, and his biggest single his player his game release in Game Pass history.

Squanch recently announced their first DLC update, ‘High on Knife’. This introduces an all-new talking gun character, Harper, voiced by Sarah Sherman (Saturday Night Live), and a spooky new boss named Max, voiced by Gabourey Sidibe (Precious, American Horror Story). Kenny, the voice of the gun is Justin Roiland (The person who parted ways with the studio later has since been dropped allegations of domestic violence opposition to him has been made public) and is not included in the DLC. High on Knife is coming to PC, Xbox, and PlayStation this fall.
