Cookie Cutter, a Hyper-Stylish 2D Metroidvania, Announced

Publisher Rogue Games has announced Cookie Cutter, a super-standardized and super-violent 2D Metroidvania game that will hit the PC in 2023.

Cookie Cutter features a hand-painted cell-shading art style with platforming, puzzle solving, and gameplay that promises a lot of brutal action. See the public trailer at the top of this page and the first screenshot in the gallery below.

“Cookie Cutter is a strange, wild, hellish vehicle in Metroidvania. It has all the classics of its genre. The huge world. The load of battle between insane enemies and bosses. A twisted story. And it’s so beautiful, “said Rogue CEO Matt Casa Massina. “But some heroines challenge video game practices in the best possible way. It’s a title that’s not shyly made for older players.”

The heroine is Cherry, a resurrected Android that does everything to regain the creator of the kidnapped human she loves. Cherry does not punch the adventure with bikes, mechas and chainsaws. Rogue also promises many in-game accessibility options.
