Destiny 2 Cheat Distributor Agrees To Pay Bungie $13.5 Million

The company developing the Destiny 2 cheat code has agreed to pay Bungie $ 13.5 million in damages to end the copyright infringement proceedings.

The company also agreed to a permanent injunction against the creation of new fraudulent software for Destiny 2 or other Bungie games.

As seen in court document Report from TorrentFreakBungie has accused Canadian fraudulent company Elite Boss Tech of violating its user agreement with Destiny 2 software and spending “exorbitant amounts” on developers developing fraud prevention technology. Bungie also noted that Elite Boss Tech’s software disrupted the player’s experience, damaging Destiny 2’s reputation, which threatened the commercial viability of the game.

Elite Boss Tech has never copied the Destiny 2 code and claims that some of Bungie’s claims are based on a non-enforceable statement of a limited software license agreement, but the cheat company claims 13.5 million. I agree to pay the dollar damage and agree not to create the Destiny 2 cheat again. .. $ 13.5 million was calculated based on the number of downloads of EliteBossTech’s fraudulent software. There is a $ 2,000 penalty each for 6,765 times.

“This permanent injunction is binding on defendants around the world and may find them or their assets, regardless of the jurisdiction of the particular intellectual property rights claimed in the complaint. It may be enforced in court, “said the settlement.

“Defendants’ breach of this order is subject to the full range of derogatory powers of this court, including disciplinary, compulsory, and monetary sanctions.”

Bungee isn’t the only one chasing cheat companies. Activision recently filed a proceeding against Call of Duty’s cheat distributor. The riots, along with Bungy, filed a proceeding against Gator Cheats last year. The developers of PUBG Mobile recently also received $ 10 million in damages from cheat creators.
