Deus Ex Sequel Rumours Seemingly Quashed by Voice Actor

Deus Ex actor Elias Toufexis refused to make a sequel to the 2016 Mankind Divided after rumors spread as a result of misinterpreted tweets.

Toufexis was posted on June 1st He’s been speaking out the character “for years in this huge AAA game,” calling speculation that he’s talking about the fifth mainline Deus Ex game. The most well-known roles of Toufexis are Adam Jensen, the protagonist of Deus Ex: Human Revolution and Deus Ex: Mankind Divided. The latter game ended with a cliffhanger, and fans have long wanted it to be resolved.

This is tied to Embracer Group’s recent comment (new owner of the Deus Ex franchise) that Deus Ex sequels, remakes and spin-offs have “great potential”, but Toufexis has overturned these rumors. ..

“When I tweet about the game, I get an article that confirms Deus Ex,” he said. “Everyone, I’ve done something like 30 games since Deus Ex. I’m in a couple even bigger than Deus Ex right now. Don’t worry, let me know if I know anything. . “

The Deus Ex franchise started in 2000 (a sequel was released in 2003), but the series was revamped in 2011 with Human Revolution. The series reportedly didn’t live up to sales expectations (despite being very well received), so developer Eidos-Montréal reportedly made Shadow before creating last year’s Guardians of the Galaxy game. Assisted Crystal Dynamics with of the Tomb Raider.

It’s currently unclear what Eidos-Montréal is working on next, but as mentioned earlier, the new owner, Embracer Group, seems eager to return to Deus Ex. According to Toufexis’s comment, he hasn’t heard anything yet, but he can expect it.
