Diablo 4 Players Slam Latest Nerf Patch, Blizzard Promises to Address Backlash
Blizzard has promised to address “feedback” from players regarding Diablo 4’s latest patch, following backlash from the community.
Diablo 4’s long-awaited pre-season 1 patch 1.1.0 rolled out yesterday, and it didn’t take long for players to criticize Blizzard for implementing a heavy-handed nerf.
There have been significant nerfs across the board in this patch, with Sorcerer players in particular embarrassed by the significant blow to class power. Helltide, a popular endgame activity, is now more difficult and has been slowed down due to the increased cost of opening Mystery Chests (Cinder’s low drop rate is a bug).
Experience bonuses for killing monsters at higher levels have been nerfed, and more importantly, Blizzard has greatly nerfed critical strike damage, vulnerable damage, cooldown reduction, and certain affixes, giving many Reduced effectiveness of established builds.
“In general, we prefer build-specific changes to be bonuses rather than reductions, but we feel these changes are necessary for the overall health of the game,” Blizzard explained. bottom. “Diablo 4 is a game that continues to evolve throughout the season, so the adjustments we make will also evolve with the season.”
As a result, the Diablo 4 community believes that this change slowed down all aspects of the game, which in turn reduced the power fantasies created by overpowering enemies.
“This game wasn’t lightning fast from the start, but it’s now a proper slag,” wrote TheMorals on Reddit director Over 19,000 upvotes.
Diablo-related subreddits and social media platforms have been inundated with player complaints about the patch, with some saying they will suspend the tool until Blizzard takes action.
Just barely survived the Solo Tier 52 nightmare. These patches are kind of rough. You have to completely rebuild this. It has very little self-healing, deals 60% less damage than normal, takes almost half as much damage from vulnerability, and has… pic.twitter.com/vTOGAwrpXb

It must make you wonder what the developers of Diablo 4 were smoking when they created this patch released today.
– Nerf Critical + Vulnerable, but provides no value replacement
– Worst class nerf in the game
– Make everyone fluffier
– Destroy earned XPwho the hell are you

Diablo 4 Season 1 Nerf Patch. There is nothing that can be added to this season. Nothing justifies the amount of xonerf bats they dropped.
they’re slowing the game down
No thanks, just wait a few seasons. Let’s play ProjectD2’s Last Epoch for ARPG fixes

I want to play Diablo 4 right now, but this new patch sucks all the fun out of it. It always crashes when I change menus or teleport to major cities. The server lag when loading new areas is also terrible. The XP nerf is also disappointing. I don’t know, I hope the S1 fixes some issues.

Diablo 4 patch notes are really disappointing. Seasonal influences must be really strong. My Soak was already one-tapped with a mid-40s NMD before the armor and resistance nerfs if I hadn’t raised the ice barrier.Critical and Varun damage also weakened

seriously @Diablo Team, what happened to the Diablo 4 XP nerfs?! It’s not fun or rewarding to spend hours just trying to level up. We want to enjoy endgame content and farm equipment, not feel trapped in endless leveling pains. #Diablo 3 was better

Last night, Diablo Community Development Director Adam Fletcher took to Twitter to say that Blizzard staff will address this feedback in a Campfire chat scheduled later this week.
“We’re listening to player feedback on some of the changes in Diablo 4 1.1.0,” said Fletcher. “We will be hosting a campfire chat later this Friday to discuss it further. [and] at the timing of the next day. Thank you for your feedback!”
We’ve received player feedback on some of the changes in 1.1.0. #Diablo IV.
We’ll be hosting a campfire chat later this Friday to talk more about it.
We will let you know the details and time the next day. Thank you for your feedback.

This backlash probably isn’t what Blizzard wanted most going into Season 1’s start. malignant seasonDiablo 4 launched with great success (it’s the fastest-selling game in Blizzard’s history) and has been well received despite controversy surrounding its always-online and some server issues. Now Blizzard has defended its decision with patch 1.1.0 and players will want to announce the changes.
