EA Launches a New PC App to Replace Origin

Ten years later, Electronic Arts replaces Origin PC with a new desktop client for PC, the EA App.

Today EA announced the release of the app new blog, calling it “the fastest and lightest PC client ever.” The EA app, which was in open beta before the announcement, is out and will soon replace Origin completely.

“For over a decade, we’ve welcomed millions of players to the Origin platform. We’ve listened to customer feedback and recognized the platform’s limitations in a rapidly evolving entertainment landscape,” EA said in a post. will read.

“That’s why we set out to build EA’s next-generation PC gaming platform. It’s the premier place to experience EA’s incredible games, services, and content, and it’s faster, more reliable, and streamlined.” It’s a great gaming experience.”

The EA app will focus more on social gaming, allowing players to import friends lists from their Steam, Xbox, and PlayStation accounts.

For current Origin users, the process of switching data is relatively straightforward. Games, local and cloud saves, and friend lists are automatically transferred to the EA app.

The EA app is only available for PC players, Mac players must use Origin to launch the game.

EA apps aren’t the only things EA is developing. The company is currently working on quite a few games involving skating. And the dead space remake.
