EA Makes Fun of Single Player Games – The Internet Does Not React Kindly

The jokes from EA’s official Twitter account that make fun of single-player games didn’t work for the company. The reaction of the Internet has forced companies to deal with mistakes.

EA, who got into the popular meme, tweeted, “I’m 10 years old, but I just like playing single-player games.” Given that EA itself publishes a lot of single-player games such as Mass Effect: Legendary Edition, Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, The Sims 4, the tweets themselves were a bit strange, but probably poorly selected jokes. What started as escalated after the post gained momentum.

Twitter users including the head of EA’s Respawn Entertainment Vince Zampella, YouTuber JacksepticeyeAnd that Game Awards Host Geoff Keighley While many others criticized EA for teasing in retaliation, everyone shared it with a false accusation of the reply.

In some tweets, the Jedi Fallen Order was compared to EA’s multiplayer Star Wars game, Battlefront II. This was strongly criticized when it was launched on the microtransaction and loot box system, but some tweets point out that EA recently announced a (single player) dead remake. Space and (another single-player game) Star Wars Jedi: Survivor.

With nearly 10,000 quoted tweets and nearly 9,000 replies, which are almost negative, EA itself has come to admit failure. Four hours after the original post, the company tweeted. “Roasting is a matter of course. When you play a single player game, you actually get 11, so we’ll use this L.”
