Elden Ring: Latest Update Makes Summoning Signs Much More Useful

The latest Elden Ring update made some interesting changes to Summoning Signs.

Update 1.06 added the ability to send summon signs to multiple area summon pools, including remote areas, making summon signs more convenient.

Essentially, this means that you are more likely to be summoned into another player’s game while doing business in The Lands Between. You don’t even need to be near the sign, and you can continue exploring while waiting for your summon.

Unfortunately, when sending summoning signs to “far places”, the summoning pool at Morgwyn’s Palace is excluded. No reason is given for that single exclusion, but it may be because this area is commonly used to collect runes and level up faster than normal.

Invasions have also changed, allowing players to invade larger areas “including distant areas”.

Oh, and if you’ve been having trouble with the White Mask Varre questline, there’s a new way to advance it by killing newly added NPCs. because it had to connect to This gives you an offline option.Patch notes don’t explicitly explain Where It will be an NPC you need to kill, so you may need to solve it.

Elden Ring’s multiplayer mechanics have been a hit since the game’s release. This new update makes it even easier to join other players and face off against other Tarnisheds.

As well as this update to Summoning Signs and Pools, there are also a ton of balance changes and bug fixes, especially reducing the time it takes to be able to roll after hitting a Greatsword, Curved Greatsword, or Great Hammer. The motion speed of these weapons’ heavy and charged attacks has also been increased. Over 30 bug fixes are included. Full patch notes here.
