Everything Announced at the Annapurna Interactive Showcase 2022

The second annual Annapurna Interactive Showcase has ended. In the meantime, we’ve seen a number of new projects and updates under development, as well as some upcoming releases from publishers such as Stray, Neon White, and Sayonara WildHearts. ..

Here’s everything I saw in the showcase, in case you couldn’t attend the show or just want to remember a cool game you didn’t know the name of.

Thirsty suitor

From Outerloop Games (Falcon Age), we’ve taken a closer look at the upcoming RPG, Thirsty Suitors, which combines elements of romance simulation, turn-based combat, and skateboarding mechanics. As Jara, a young woman who was forced to confront and reconcile with multiple exes while returning home for her sister’s wedding, managing family expectations, and repairing relationships with friends and relatives. Play I didn’t know the release date this time, but I’ve seen quite a bit of gameplay and a free demo on Steam. Thirsty Suitors will be released for PC, PlayStation, Nintendo Switch and Xbox Game Pass.

Hindsight

From Prune, the creator of the elegant tree-growing puzzle, Hindsight today received a new trailer with its first release date. Hindsight is a game that focuses on the story of a woman’s life from birth to the present, where physical objects can be a literal window into the past. It will be released on August 4th via Steam for iOS, Nintendo Switch and PC.

New project by creators of Kentucky Route Zero

Cardboard Computer appeared in the showcase, and after nearly a decade of work at Kentucky Route Zero, the studio revealed that it’s currently working on a whole new project. I didn’t see the trailer, but I did see the team working on dog modeling. And the team is some of the projects, including Cardboard Computer being the first project to “really focus on performance as a core part of the work” and having a “different tempo” from Kentucky Root Zero. I explained-it’s “faster” and “hopefully more funny”.

It may take some time to get a good idea of what this new project is, but if it’s in a remote location like the beautiful and epic Kentucky Route Zero, it’s worth a look. I have.

Bountister: The Story of Morrows in the Cemetery Krem

Dinogod Studio has finally released a game, Bounty Star: The Morose Tale of Graveyard Clem. It’s like an old-west style shooter where the protagonist is a cool mecha-manipulating woman, mostly Titanfall-inspired, all set to Brother Edge music. Bounty Star will be available later next year for PlayStation, PC via Steam, and Xbox Game Pass.

Yarn Owl-Development Update

Texas and Georgia-based studio Yarn Owl stopped by a segment that talked about the establishment of the studio and its drawing inspiration from The Legend of Zelda: Links to the Past. I didn’t know the exact details of what the gameplay or studio project was, but I saw a cute character model flying around the world on an adventure. It’s almost like a wind tact.

Outer wild

At last year’s Annapurna showcase, Mobius Digital announced (especially) Outer Wilds on the Nintendo Switch. It hasn’t happened yet, and yes, Mobius has reappeared this year to reassure us that the Switch version is still working, even if the studio doesn’t have a solid date yet. However, there are other updates, including more specific releases. Outer Wilds has a 60fps update for the Xbox Series X, S, and PS5. The update is free and will be released on September 15th.

Passless, maquette, solar ash

Montages including The Pathless, Maquette and Solar Ash have been played, revealing new platform releases for all three games. Pathless will head to Xbox and Switch this winter, Maquette will join Game Pass and Switch this winter, and Solar Ash will head to Steam and Game Pass on December 6th.

Edith Finch Wreckage

To conclude the above montage, we found that the Finch family’s bizarre event was getting 4k and 60fps upgrades for the Xbox Series x and S and PS5. The upgrade is free, and to my surprise, it’s out now.

Forever before

German studio ThirdShift seemed to be talking about its formation and the creation of the next game, Forever Ago. This is a story-driven road trip adventure about an old man who travels in a van, travels through different landscapes of North America, and takes pictures. It is currently unknown which platform will be released when.

Flock: Gather friends

Flock: Gathering Your Friends is coming next, featuring a colorful landscape with cute little insects and other animals flying around. The gameplay wasn’t very common, but most of it was gorgeous, but it’s like a game of riding colorful birds, flying around these landscapes, collecting floating little bug guys and following you. It will appear on Xbox Game Pass, PC via Steam, and PlayStation at a later date.

Hohokum

Hohokum looks like Ynglet and Kirby, and Rainbow Curse has a lovely kid who can control a guy with a colorful little ribbon bouncing around the stage. Sometimes other colorful friends follow you or get on your back. Well, it’s a bit hard to explain, and it’s pretty open-ended if you’ve played it before. However, it’s actually a 2014 game developed by Honeyslug for PlayStation 3, 4, and Vita, and is currently released via Steam on PC.

Uvula

Keita Takahashi, creator of Katamari Damashi and Watam, is back again. This time, a new company called the uvula will appear. Yes, a small dangling behind the throat. No, I don’t know what the game really is or what it does in the game. All we saw was a cute Takahashi-style character snoring gently, the camera zooming in on the uvula, and the dog licking his cheeks. Everything looks cute!

Dreamfeel-Developer Update

If Found… developers are on the stream, talking about their inspiration for wandering the Irish ruins and making fun of their next project. There was no game title or gameplay, but the next game was played in a fantasy version of Ireland, which turned out to be all characters cats. At the core of the idea is the phrase, “Drowning things will someday rise from the depths.”

Lost wild

Finally, the show ended with the release of a Great Ape Games game called Thelost Wild. Lost Wild is like some kind of survival horror game featuring dinosaurs. Many dinosaurs. Take a look at the first-person perspective of a dense jungle full of Dino and the scared player character referencing the compass. Looking at the section with the latest technology using flares, lights, whiteboards, etc., it seems that there is also a serious atmosphere of Jurassic Park. There is no release date yet, but you can create your wishlist on Steam now if you want.
