Fable Narrative Lead Anna Megill Leaving Playground Games, Says a ‘Heroically Talented Team’ Remains
Fable’s narrative lead, Anna Megill, announced that she was leaving Playground Games in August, with a “heroically talented team” continuing to work on the long-awaited reboot.
Megil has been with Playground Games since joining Fable’s Narrative Lead in July 2022 and joining the team as Fable’s Lead Writer in February 2021. She said working on Fable was a “dream come true” for her, and she had nothing but positive things to say about her when she announced her departure.
“Friends, I have news,” Megill wrote. twitter. “In August, I will be stepping down from my role as the narrative lead on Fable. After a wonderful few years doodling in a fairytale hut, I feel it is the right time to take on a new challenge. I’m here.

Fable is the next reboot of the popular Xbox series that started in 2004 and was officially announced in 2020. The game has been largely silent since then, but at his Xbox Game Showcase this year, he gave fans the best look yet at the project.
